The models in Super Bomberman R were roughly ported over and cleaned up a bit for Super Bomberman R2 but many of their finer details were lost or suffered in the process, probably most notable with Magnet and Sexy Bomber who ended up with contorted proportions and bugged textures respectively.

The original i-mode release of #Bomberman 3D was preserved by @yuvi.app! Released in 2004, the game has fully 3D stages with multiple elevations. Its EZweb, Yahoo Keitai, and international J2ME releases have also been preserved to various extents.

Did some digging recently and found an interview about Super Bomberman R's development, with all due respect I've heard he was/quite involved with Metal Gear and Zone of Enders but maybe have Noriaki Okamura sit out when it comes to Bomberman, this is such an ignorant take to have had on the project

He's without a skeleton, it just looked funky in his tiny body, he also has eyebrows too that aren't attached 😂

In '99/2000, Bomberman got in on the Pokémon trend of two different versions of the same handheld game, courtesy Bomberman Max. Blue Champion and Red Challenger do some fascinating things with level sharing, PvP battles, and use of the GBC's IR sensor that even Nintendo didn't get up to themselves.

You could think of that name as more like "Bomberman & Max," considering the game features the two characters, and less like "Max Bomberman," but either way, these games aren't available anywhere.
