Having been recommended York, Buxton, Matlock, and Edinburgh, I decided to compromise and avoid closed/busier main lines, so I went to Exeter. Mainly the ugly bits with the chazzers.

Bought a can of hard spritzer because it’s cheaper than a cup of tea.

If refusing to comment is enough to kill a story, then the government now has veto power over journalism.
That’s what CBS normalized last night — and it should scare everyone.

The exponential increase in direct ancestors we each have quickly exceeds the total number of humans that have ever existed. This is because we are *all* products of a *lot* of incest, often at surprisingly close removes.
Next time you watch a programme about ancestry research, just remember...

Last Christmas shopping done. Somehow £16 at Waitrose has given me more than I can reasonably carry.

All the money spent on on-train displays and platform displays over the last century, and a guy still tries to jump the queue at the ticket office to check the calling points of the train.

Item in The Guardian’s newsletter about missing programmes today. Nothing new to most of my followers. And while it’s good someone is looking out for film, videotape is also an issue.

I’m missing disc 2 of a new 3-CD set. Now I’m wondering if I ever saw the disc or if it was missing from the start. I’ve checked all my players and other boxes.

My solar panels and battery were commissioned this afternoon. Sadly, it was dark af but tomorrow may yield interesting results. As all my heating and cooking is done by electric, I’m hoping to be mostly self-sufficient.
