This. This is exactly what’s happening.
Authoritarianism doesn't happen in a vacuum. It requires enablers. When a leader posts fantasies of monarchical rule, and his entire party looks the other way, they become complicit. The issue isn't just Trump's posts; it's the institutional decay of a party that refuses to be a check on his power.

This would be a riot. MAGA would buy it up, forget that it’s bullion, then spend it for face value on cheap beer.

Not to mention the fact that Bagram Airfield was built by the Soviet Union in the 1950s.
What's crazier is that you can be assured that no one in US military wants this airbase back while Taliban in power. Absent reoccupation of whole country - which would mean return to forever war - it wld be a perpetual security liability.

Absolutely barking mad.
This is the second violent threat against another country he's made in the last 24 hours.

This. More carryons just make the boarding process slower and more chaotic. I’d argue for making checked bags free and charge for carryons.
Our travel experts love to check bags. They might go as far as to say that the hype for carrying on is kind of overrated. Here are their reasons (and some advice for when to carry on instead).

Vance on undermining the Federal Reserve: "I don't think we allow  bureaucrats to make decisions about monetary policy and interest rates without any input from the people that were elected to serve the American people...POTUS is much better able to make these determinations."

It’s awesome to see the #NoKing protests and see that many Americans support the constitution.

On the other hand I want to ask WTH took so damn long?!

Why did it take 10 years to wake up to the fact the man is a poison to democracy?

My (GenX) advice to GenZ: Adjust your expectations.
axios.com Axios @axios.com · Nov 22
Boomers generally think they can be a success on salaries just under $100,000 a year, while those born between 1965 and 1996 are closer to $200,000.

But the youngest workers, the Gen Z cohort, think they have to earn almost $600,000 a year to really make it. www.axios.com/2024/11/22/b...

Anyone know a good Bluesky app for iPad? Currently using Graysky, but. It has some annoyances like not supporting starter packs. The Bluesky app is great on an iPhone, but just renders as iPhone on iPad, which makes me nuts.

We’ve got a solution for that.

I'm seriously proud to have played a part in this. More so for the entire team that made it happen. Never in my career have I seen a company set a date for a very ambitious initial rollout and actually hit that date.

But we did just that. Kudos to the entire sema4.ai team!
