The no jumping over tacklers law exists on safety grounds, to have it not matter based on where on the pitch the player who jumped lands is stupid. It’s dangerous or it isn’t.
Honestly this is the biggest grey area of rugbys innumerous grey areas. Honestly, I don't think anybody knows the right answer for what Sheehan did.

Apparently, Páirc Uí Chaoimh has been available for well over a decade.
It was being rebuilt ten years ago; reopened July 2017.
It was unavailable to other sports until a year later.

I think the reason lazy punditry annoys me so much is that you have people being paid to watch, think and talk about sport, and they still won’t do the work when the work is what you’d do for fun.

Came across this CIA “simple sabotage field manual” from 1944 and tbh these tactics just seem to describe basic procedures in German bureaucracy. Who else can relate ?
I can think of an organisation or two who routinely “haggle over precise wordings” 😉
