Thames Water has deferred £2.5m bonus, disguised as retention payments, to execs.

First tranche of £2.5m already paid, millions more promised

Bonus for what - fleecing customers, dumping sewage in ruvers, not investing, boosting profits?

Let customers vote on exec pay/bonuses.

The poorest 20% Britons pay higher proportion of income in taxes than the richest 20%.

The bottom 50% of the population owns less than 5% of wealth, bottom 20% has 0.5%.

Can't reduce child/household poverty and relieve suffering without equitable distribution of income/wealth.
To tackle child poverty the government must deal with parental poverty
Labour's child poverty strategy offers some welcome measures, but it won't address the factors keeping families trapped in poverty

National Insurance Dodge

UK employers pay national insurance on employee/director wages.

That doesn't apply to profits (instead of wages) extracted by partners in partnerships.

Billions dodged. I asked the Minister whether that policy was wrong.

Watch how he dodges the question.

UK bank customer protection rises to £120,000.

One of many ways in which the state supports banking industry.

The state acts as the lender of last resort, bails out, hands subsidies, covers-up bank crimes, execs rarely prosecuted.

They still resent paying taxes, engage in antisocial practices.
