hate bumping this again but for some reason life is making things comically worse. Our only car just straight up DIED on weds, and no buses in our area. The job my partner thought they had fell through, and somehow we're supposed to find a place before thursday. i'm so stressed i can't even eat

One thing you can do Right Now is be extremely vocal when you have librarians stocking inclusive collections. Call and tell them how happy you are, show up to board meetings. Bc the other side is *always* complaining and doing it in an organized way.

mental health licenses are controlled at your state level an as a member of the public you can reach out to them to encourage this comes up at their next board meeting. when I sat on a mn board we met quarterly but would email about emergent matters
ICE has been hiring mental health professionals and I want them to all lose their licenses if they take those jobs bc wtf are we doing

No one is forcing you to donate to any fundraiser anywhere in the world. And there are some scams out there, as I note. But GoFundMe verifies every campaign for people in Gaza using ID, receipts, and bank info before money is released. Do whatever you want, but putting "Gazans" in quotes is gross.
I get many pleas from "Gazans" on the regular here on Bluesky. Are you and Gizmodo planning to verify them all so we know which are not scams?🤔
