The mistake being made about Meta is to say they're just doing this to make conservatives happy. They've been doing that a decade+. Removing fact checkers and bringing back political content means there will be more stuff that gets more people mad which creates more engagement. Growth at all costs.

Just muted a bunch of words. Hopefully that improves my feed. I also will unfollow anyone who is constantly throwing jabs at others, or those who are promoting engagement bait. We will see. So far, still not tuned correctly but hopefully it gets better.

i think rage at congestion pricing is a good example of how no one believes that the world can be positive sum anymore. like, people pay a small fee to get access to a faster commute — saving them valuable time — and the money improves public transit, saving other people valuable time. it's win-win!
