writer. historian. sports guy. associate professor. @emoryUniversity. author of #PresumedCriminal and some other things.
Last night, I had the privilege of sitting down with Raymond Santana to discuss his new young adult illustrated memoir, Pushing Hope. The book traces his powerful journey from his move to Harlem, through his arrest and trial, time in prison, and his ongoing fight for justice since his exoneration.

Napheesa Collier's full statement at the beginning of her exit interview.

The echoes of Jackie's courage, a constant presence in my thoughts, writing, and teaching. On this #JackieRobinsonDay, the silence of the sporting world feels heavy, a stark contrast to the world's unraveling.
