My electrification should be complete on Monday w/ induction stove install. 9kw of PV, 20kwh batteries, new EV, electric drier. Managed to finish in time to collect tax credits, and I'm very happy. Not cheap, but similar to a kitchen remodel. Helps to live in Hawaii with ample sun and no winter.

OMG cataract surgery was the best thing! I am so grateful to be able to see near and far without correction! But no Magic Eye recovery for me—it’s my brain, not my eyes, that can’t see them

Interesting, although not my issue. Just had cataract surgery with an extensive workup (my surgeon has been one of my best friends for decades), so I'm sure no medical problems.

Disagree. Building strength requires doing hard things. That's true for societies as well as individuals. JFK was responding to Sputnik, and part of his rationale for the moonshot was to build our strength as a nation. I think it worked, too.
