This is apparently a hard concept for smartphone manufacturers to grasp, but no, I do NOT, in fact, want my music to get quieter for a second when a notification sound plays. I’m a big girl and I can handle two sounds playing at once. Even macOS and Windows don’t do this!

One thing I've learned over the past year is that when my mutual aid goal is met, I have to just outright delete the post, because if I just post a follow-up, people will continue sharing the original without that context.

The weirdest case of road rage I've experienced: Some guy got REALLY angry that I wouldn't run a red light from a dead stop.
I'm stopped at a red light, he's behind me, and he wants me to treat it like a stop sign and pull through when there's a gap in cross traffic instead of waiting for green.

My personal favorite example of "the US uses cops for damn near everything even when it makes no sense" is directing traffic for construction or planned events. Why does the person waving cars around need arrest powers and a gun? Have the DOT hire and train people specifically for traffic control.

A friend adjusted the thermostat while they were over and they actually closed the cover on the dealio. I don’t think I’ve ever done that.

Major driving pet peeve: Everybody pulling over for an ambulance or police car is not your opportunity to try to jump two car lengths ahead for a negligible reduction in your travel time. We go back to the positions we were already in because we were taught in kindergarten to take turns.
