Can't stress enough that believing their own fantasies of racial superiority is a huge weakness in fascist governance. No one has ever taken state violence, subordination, & immiseration passively, even against the overwhelming odds of the Jim Crow state. A deeply unstable, impossible ideology.

Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro says 'I'd rather die' than use generative AI
Del Toro's new Frankenstein adaption reimagines Mary Shelley's 1818 Gothic novel. Frankenstein was like a tech bro: "creating something without considering the consequences," he explains.

It's almost like you have to fight for our votes like everyone else. Yes, we, especially Black women, tend to vote for harm reduction either way. But it's so much better when we're voting for someone instead of against someone. We're more likely to donate and volunteer. Too many take us for granted.

If we don’t recognize that the system of underfunding education and constantly putting more pressure on educators to do more with less is deliberately giving *us* less time to think critically about our work, educators are missing the point.

the left is responsible for the sexual revolution, maybe the most important development for guys trying to get laid in human history. the right opposes it to this day.
The left is completely silent on the subject of men getting laid - which, generally speaking, they are v.interested in doing and will continue to be interested in regardless of whether progressives want to talk about it. So the stage has been left entirely clear for the far-right.

The conflict that we should fear isn’t between a AI and humanity.

The real conflict is between a vampiric elite who hate being alive and act as if the point of life is to extract as much as possible from others, and the rest of us who believe the point of living is to be alive.

The problem is that any form of technological innovation that occurs under the existing regime of fascism, surveillance capitalism and empire will be used to further the domination of an inhumane elite.

We are not threatened by new technology, but by the system that give technologists control.

The problem with AI is the same as the problem with the internet, and America, and the planet—namely, it’s controlled by a tiny oligarchy and their systems of rapacious extraction.

Like the internet, AI could be an emancipatory technology if it was under a form of democratic control.

Daily drawing 1844. I'm trying a new brush in the water and the clouds. It's actually a charcoal brush that comes with Procreate, but with the grain turned off. I really love the shape and the way it interacts with rotation. It's a level of expression I haven't used digitally in a long while.
