Anti-DEI is an attack on civil rights by segregationists. Most white "allies" are completely silent while segregationists attack Black people and our civil rights.

These silent "allies" without a shred of shame or self-awareness, fully expect Black voters to make sacrifices to save them at midterms

One of the things I didn't expect when I went to grad school to do math is that I would need to spend so much time paying attention to global geopolitics.

Threats are from people, so your threat modeling absolutely must include what's happening to them. You can't do security without it.

I never know what to say on Trans Day of Remembrance. I have lost too many friends already. Many of them were better at this than I am, but I’m the one who’s here to remember them and carry on in memory of them.

IMPORTANT NEW PAPER just published on gatekeeping in gender-affirming care. Colleagues and I just published a paper that reviews the literature on gender assessments in gender-affirming care. We conclude they don’t work!

It is interesting that so many of the commentators and outlets that were so concerned over the last half decade about ‘cancel culture’ and the free speech ‘crisis’ have been quiet lately over the clamp down on pro-Palestinian speech and activism in many countries.

Got some more bits, starting to look like a bike! I also have wheels and tyres, but it'll be time for Strictly, and I need to watch some more how-to videos before making a giant tubeless sealant mess... 😅

UK public becoming more pro-borrowing to invest in infrastructure as interest rates go up is bleakly funny.
Tucked away in the latest YouGov polling, quite an interesting finding, I think. Public support for investment.
