Kim and Urban, like Putin and other right-wingers in the world, share the same basic ideology. These attempts to make it seem as if what Trump says about his fellow neoliberal travelers is some horrible deviation from the norm does nothing to challenge the march toward fascism.
A little more than a year ago, Donald Trump used his GOP convention speech -- and the largest televised audience he would have for a speech -- to praise Kim Jong Un & Viktor Orban.

What's difficult for reporters is there's no evidence showing Trump's actual reasons for the deployments. You can speculate (he doesn't like blue cities, he wants to crush anti-Trump protests, he wants to intimidate voters next year) but the only reported justification is the anti-crime crackdown.

Love it when liberals ignore the fact their hero Obama deliberately created a program designed by the insurance industry while preventing any input regarding a full public option that quickly became precisely the cash cow anyone with half a brain knew it would be.

I generally admire what More Perfect Union produces, but ignoring the glaring fact that there shouldn't be low-income seniors who need to work well past retirement age because that's what Social Security was supposed to prevent isn't up to their usual standards.

Democrats really don't understand the information environment. The "base gives a shit" about the things you relentlessly signal they should give a shit about. They have on their radar the things you PUT on their radar. The GOP is so much better at this game and it really shows.
