Detail of inlaid eye belonging to the "Seated Scribe", 2600-2350 BC. Crafted from red-veined white magnesite and rock crystal. The polished crystal was covered in the back with a material used to create the color of the iris.

Today it was 32 here, a mere ten degrees above average. had ceiling fans on and stayed inside all day after 09.30. repurposed the aluminium sides of my comp gazebos along the veranda to keep the sun away…it helped a bit…

Spent today helping a friend build a garden. Learned a lot about using weed mat and layers of cardboard to hold back kikuyu grass which, if you lie down out there to rest, will eat you alive leaving no trace.

The Towridgee Sheep Resort and Spa now has an electric fence to stop the foster brats straying into the neighbour’s place.. after a bit of head banging from the Lead Escape Artist, it seems we have acceptance. And I’ve learned how to make an electric fence. Thanks to friend Bob Riedy ❤️
