It's not just fdr. One of the things the epa did not long after it was formed was document the nation's pollution via photography. That can seem frivolous, but generations of Americans have no idea why the EPA was necessary. This broke a million views when we published it in 2017
This is what America looked like before the EPA cleaned it up
A snapshot from America before the impact of the EPA and the effects of rules regulating clean water and air were felt.

This is especially gutting for the women who tried to play by the rules, take drugs they didn't want or need to lower their naturally occurring T, train hard to come back, and are once again being kicked to the curb.
Yesterday, World Athletics announced new recommended rules that would ban all DSD athletes from competition and require EVERY woman who wanted to compete to undergo a chromosome test. I covered the main bits here:
World Athletics wants to go back to mandatory sex testing
This is not the news I was hoping to share with you all, but here we are. Yesterday, World Athletics released a new set of recommendations surrounding the...

Why do we watch *a ball drop* on New Year's Eve?

In a word? Longitude. 🌐

The Times Square Ball has its ultimate origins in a system that helped ships set their clocks to aid their navigation.

In 2017, the NBA pulled the All Star game out of North Carolina to protest a bathroom bill. I'll be curious to see if they have anything to say about today's bills. I don't follow NBA shit closely enough to really have a guess on this, but it does feel like a signal.

In short: the obsession with who counts as a woman in sports is nearly 100 years old. It's gone through many phases, each one claiming to care about "protecting women" and "fairness" and (later) "science." There's no evidence that these policies actually succeed at any of those things.

I speak to this often. I’m a writer in Hollywood and my craft has STRENGTHENED evermore due to being a Dungeon Master the past 10+ years. You paint worlds that would cost millions on screen around a table with close friends that are the stars of your show. It’s as alive as a movie.

It’s pure magic.
