Astonishing: Newly released Epstein estate documents show Jeffrey Epstein was texting Rep. Stacey Plaskett during a congressional hearing, feeding her lines she then asked on the record.

The kind of people who deny people consent in one thing, also deny people consent in other things. There is an authoritarian approach to power, denying consent is its essential quality. First they deny consent, then they deny accountability.

Republican lawmakers have been the primary opposition to child marriage bans across multiple states. Between 2000 and 2018 around 300,000 minors were married in the United States, with 60,000 of those marriages involving an age difference that would otherwise be considered a sex crime. #EpsteinFiles

What's stupid about this is that election officials welcome all parties to observe vote counting. Usually there are partisan observers and lawyers present at election offices. If Michigan Republicans need federal help that speaks poorly about their party organization
A group of 22 Michigan Republican lawmakers asked President Donald Trump's U.S. Department of Justice to deploy monitors to vote-counting facilities and to provide general oversight for the state's upcoming elections in 2026. www.detroitnews.com/story/news/p...

The memo purportedly justifying these murders also contains a lengthy section that lays out arguments defending the actions of those carrying out the strikes. In short, it *preemptively* defends them from potential prosecution later.

Experts say this is unusual. 2/

The hearing made it clear they're treating Lindsey's appointment as a goof by Bondi (when in reality she had to appoint Halligan to be senior to the short-lived Maggie Cleary).

But holy hell I think Bondi stepped far deeper into shit.
One sign of the importance DOJ is placing on its prosecution of former FBI chief and Trump foe James Comey is that prosecutors have gotten the attorney general involved twice, on short notice.
