It's very limited. Somebody should let the senators who think it's a "win" know that it isn't unless they also change the rules.

You note Red States like Louisiana has one of the highest SNAP rates and Trump's USDA refuses to use contingency funds while selectively helping allies. Also that Trump/GOP lawmakers are eager to blame Dems yet you're helping by repeating a crap headline. And this hits the nail squarely on the head⬇️

Watch the local newscast, note companies that bought TV ads, call them and let them know you'll boycott them until they quit supporting that station. He says to trust him, he's worked in tv for 45 years and nothing else will have a greater impact than that.

This is exactly why his memory should not be honored. His "work" was not honorable, it was intended to divide by stoking hate and fear. He engaged in order to repeat conservative propaganda steeped in racism, misogyny, and nativism not to debate in good faith. ⬇️
a post from Jeremiah Johnson: Taking in the entirety of his work, I judge Kirk to have purposefully stoked hatred and resentment because he thought it was tactically useful. He does not 'debate" with the goal of finding truth or reaching common ground. He was a propagandist. And that's fine as far as these things go, propaganda is legal. But he absolutely was not a shining example of epistemic virtue. He was the opposite. He would lie, exaggerate, egg on people's worst tendencies. He taught his audience to hate and fear, that the other side were enemies to be conquered rather than good people who were mistaken.

How about just prosecuting the people actually committing the fraud and keeping them in jail after they are convicted and not commuting their sentences-or electing them senator-looking at you Rick Scott.

But it is not remotely ethical to make comments about what Dems are or are not doing if you have not checked your blindspots. More importantly, we will not survive if you respond to the effects of oligarch takeover with passivity, demanding you get fed things as easily as you used to get. That is what they are counting on: that their efforts to make it harder to find important news will lead you to give up and assume it doesn’t exist. I may be biased, but I’m also allegedly an expert on this, because it was the topic of my dissertation. Finding and disseminating oppositional news is an absolutely critical part of opposing authoritarianism; it can take work and risk your security. But it becomes a fundamental part of citizenship.
