Anyone receiving the heavy snowfall today … if you have a gas hot water tank you might want to check your gas inlet/outlet pipe outside the house to make sure it is free of snow and getting a free flow of air.

If it’s blocked, your hot water tank will turn off.

Happy Flag Day, Canada!

Ours is up!

(Usually on a flag pole but inaccessible at the moment due to snow.)

We saw someone yesterday hanging pamplets on people’s doors — but only on some & skipping others.

Turns out it was pamphlets from the local Conservative candidate.

Would seem they had info on who has voted and who hasn’t.

Does anyone know if Election ON gives that info out to political parties?

An epidemic expert reported seeing over 100 H5N1 cases, with a mortality rate of 68–69% in China and 53% in the U.S.

Isolation areas have been set up in several provinces to prepare for a possible outbreak.

Something is happening. /2

I'm receiving some concerning reports from China.

Staff at the Shanxi CDC estimate that 2,000 people have been infected with H5N1, with 300 deaths.

An insider at the Mainland CDC confirmed human cases and fatalities but said the exact numbers remain unclear. /1

Germany’s Defence Chief is making the rounds in foreign media warning of an imminent threat from Russia.

Q: Is the West too distracted by Trump’s outrageous behaviour and the chaos he is creating to heed his warning …?

Germany’s defence chief says the level to which Russia is building up its military, which he categorized as an “imminent threat,” is deeply concerning to him.

So it appears Ford was caught saying he was 100% happy Trump won the Presidency … until the tariffs.

Apparently Trump’s many many criminal charges and sexual assault allegations didn’t matter.

Yuck. Double yuck.

So Ford is going ahead with the Starlink contract now.

His election slogan “Protect Ontario” is a farce.

It’s a bad contract for Ontario on so many levels.
February 4, 2025 at 12:11 AM
So here is Ford on CNN pleading with the US not to “lump us in” with Mexico.

Ford just tossed a better ally to Canada under the bus.

And … no mention of cancelling ON’s Starlink contract.

Ontarians should ask every MPP candidate what their party is going to do with that Starlink contract.

Sure, let’s vote Ford in for another term to ‘protect’ ON from exhorbitant tariffs in the US … but he can’t even get cheques out to ON voters that don’t bounce?

Incompetence … repeated over and over again.

It’s cold here and had a small snowfall yesterday…

But making a Pretty in Pink Spring wreath helps me to think of the coming Spring.

All ready to hang outside in April.

I am really not in the mood for people throwing others under the bus, that includes in politics, we have listened to the CPC for two years pushing a narrative of hate and anger, as well as character assassination against some who have done everything to ensure people are helped in Canada. /1

It’s the only thing I don’t like about this platform.

The US & UK are buying bird flu vaccines … human cases in the US are > (as of Nov 18, the CDC reported 37 cases)

As of Nov 13, a BC teen is in hospital with H5N1.

🇨🇦 authorized 3 influenza vaccines & has an agreement with GSK to > domestic production if needed.

Seems a bumpy road could be ahead.

This is like playing Russian Roulette with your children’s health and future.

While chances of serious complications from having measles are low, they are a possibility (the photo is from the CDC).

This was and is a beautiful political cartoon
Ten years ago, a disturbed young man shot the ceremonial guard of the national War Memorial, then went into our Parliament building to try to kill more people.
Cpl Nathan Cirillo perished from his wounds. Bruce McKinnon memorialized the incident with this.
