I like eating food, watching tv/movies, and discussing pop culture. I have a cat named Bernadette Peters that I love very much.
One must-see when on the main Chiloé island is the penguin colonies off the coast - both Humboldt & Magellanic. We booked the last available tour (6:15 PM) which is right after they eat, so they're all out & getting ready to rest.

Here's my adorable MIL next to a beautiful & bright flowering plant in Dalcahue, Chiloé, where we got a bunch of artesanal handmade goods to take back home 😌

More Chiloé stuff: here's my mother-in-law and her sister at a lookout at the top of a hill on Isla Quinchao, one of Chiloé's 40 (!) islands.

Loved this floripondio (Angel's trumpets) tree outside our hotel in Quilquico

What could possibly make having a traditional 'onces' (Chilean tea time) on the hillside overlooking the Osorno volcano better?

Being among a pack of grazing llamas before & after the meal 🦙

I just never get sick of eating machas a la parmesana (razor clams with parmesan) at every seafood spot. It's been fun to compare & contrast among them, too (for me, good quality fresh cheese makes it amazing).

Another great thing about Angelmo is the decidedly chill sea lions that lounge around, basking in the sun and waiting for seafood scraps.

Last time there were so many more, and we got to see a giant one hobble up the boat ramp while local dogs barked at it.

This meal in Angelmo (port of Puerto Montt, Chile) was so good in 2022 we had to have it again. They switched up some of the offerings but it was still the best seafood I've had.
