Agreed. Much better in many ways to provide people with supportive housing than locking them up unnecessary.
The Ford government is about to ram through Bill 6, which would build more jails, instead of the affordable homes that people need.
It would also be more expensive: supportive housing costs $25,000 a year per person, and incarceration costs $133,000.
