Once again, he's the absolute worst at explaining anything to anyone, and it sounds like word salad, but even the Nighthawk pilots describe it like that. The automated doors open and close once target is acquired to minimize the time spent on radar; with sound and visibility, they're hard to see.

So I hate that he's generally correct about this, but what he's meandering on about is the stealth signature of the B2 (and older F117), whereby they're about the size of a small bird on radar. When the bomb doors open, the signature balloons to be huge, because the doors reflect the radar.

"Whoa, buddy, is this a load-bearing gumdrop?!"

That being said, taking a Greyhound was such an awful experience that I've contemplated the extra hours for the leg room and ability to use a laptop.
