Looking for an alternative to Spotify. Between running ICE ads and them pushing AI music I'm done. What do you all use?

Hot take: Kirk's murder doesn't count as an assassination or as political violence because Kirk wasn't a politician. He was a dude with a podcast. He did not work in politics. He did not hold an office. His murder is just that: a murder of an individual.

Do it. It's always "Oh gosh, if you do one more bag thing I'm gonna be so mad! Let me write a strongly worded letter about it!"

Meanwhile, there's a literal pedophile with 34 felony convictions arresting people with a secret police in the White House.

DO SOMETHING.

Democrats in Congress are warming to a strategy of maximum retaliation in response to Republicans' efforts to draw more favorable congressional maps ahead of the 2026 elections.
"It's existential now": House Democrats prepare to go scorched earth on redistricting
"Hakeem is clearly upset and angry and frustrated by this," one House Democrat told Axios.

There's always been a certain amount of inevitability with this Epstein stuff. MAGA was never going to be defeated though reasoned debate or a voting booth. It was always going to eventually devour itself from within. The question was always what and when.

Unpopular opinion: regular folks don't need to be able to buy large fireworks. The only fun fireworks for the average person are the small ones: bottle rockets, Roman candles, ground blooms, parachutes, etc.

As the Dems & Lab in the UK keep failing to see: Trying to appeal on 'sensible' right wing policy in a period of political extremes doesn't work. If people want right wing policy, why would they vote for half measures when Full Fat exists? This brings us to the UK.

The irony of a good fly trap is that it not only catches a bunch of flies for you, it seems to attract a bunch of flies too. Like Republicans, it seems to create problems for it to fix

The thing I think I've enjoyed the most about Bluesky in my short time here is the lack of algorithm (or, at least, the optionality of the algorithm). I think that's something that we've forgotten about the origins of social media.

Saddened to hear about the Pope. He was a good man and good for the church. He wasn't perfect, but certainly a step in the right direction.

Worried about who will replace him given how my country replaced a good man who was good for the country but not perfect.
