The irony of a good fly trap is that it not only catches a bunch of flies for you, it seems to attract a bunch of flies too. Like Republicans, it seems to create problems for it to fix

The thing I think I've enjoyed the most about Bluesky in my short time here is the lack of algorithm (or, at least, the optionality of the algorithm). I think that's something that we've forgotten about the origins of social media.

Saddened to hear about the Pope. He was a good man and good for the church. He wasn't perfect, but certainly a step in the right direction.
