Lovely Wilbur Playing Field at Stanford... that has a parking garage under it, with no portion of the garage bumping up. For where we still want parking, we should have these, rather than parking garages that pop up above the street level.

People in cars hate other "traffic".

People on bikes welcome other people on bikes.
This afternoon I was one of 8 or 9 bicyclists waiting at intersections on Dearborn. It’s nice to have so much company!

As of today, Paris has banned thru-traffic in the center of the city.

Cars owned by central zone residents/workers/visitors are still OK -- but no thru-traffic.

Motor vehicle counts are expected to decline up to 30%.
