Well, at least my white zinfandel is produced domestically, so I don't have to worry about the new tariffs. The facility where it is synthesized can probably double as an oil refinery too.

No word yet on the bill to remove gender identity as a protected class from the Iowa Civil Rights Act...
But we now have a "bathroom bill" for state facilities in Iowa.

Well, there's a possibility I might get interviewed by an area TV station who wants stories from trans people. I don't think it's for a hit piece. Not having done such things very often, any coaching suggestions would be appreciated (I'm an entertainer, not a salesperson or politician).

Phone banked for One Iowa Action tonight, asking folks to call to oppose to the forthcoming bill that would allow discrimination against transgender Iowans.
I only spoke to one asshole, a self professed Christian who responded to me with some very un-Christlike abusive and sarcastic statements.

I just got this via email from One Iowa Action - Iowa's main LGBTQ advocacy group - that our detestable governor is apparently going to introduce legislation to remove gender identity as a protected class from Iowa's civil rights law, an act of pure malevolence against transgender people.

We're entering a period where a lot of well-meaning people may spread disinformation, about anti-trans initiatives, about ICE raids, and so on.
Yes, we need a grapevine, and people under the gun need to be informed quickly.
But that's why it's all the more important that your info is *accurate.*
