Nice couple of hours at #unbarred #Brighton celebrating their Christmas imperial stouts #stoutzilla #barrelaged

The buses in #Brighton can be slow due to traffic but tbh it’s great being in a city with excellent services (at least to where I live) . Yet again we even get buses on Christmas Day, New Year’s Day etc

Personally 6 months seems about right. It’s surely reasonable for an employer to easily see how someone can do the job for a few months. Could it be 4 months? maybe. is a year too long? absolutely, even 9.
we reported after Rayner's departure that employment rights bill would be watered down, and ministers denied it over and over again:

here is the first new major compromise:

We must get closer to Europe. Labour could/should do more. Wish they’d be braver. But the real villains are Farage and his cronies.
Brexit has cost each and every one of us £3,700 a year.

But instead of solving the problem, Labour are using Brexit as an excuse to raise your taxes.

My message ahead of the Budget: Stop blaming Brexit and start fixing it!

Brexit has blown a "black hole of [up to] £90 billion a year in the public finances" the party says. Even under lower estimates the hit is ~£65bn

In many ways Zack Polanski is a genius communicator. Very passionate and sincere, and can really stimulate excitement.

Yet, for me, the policies are simply unworkable. Sad, but true (IMO).

Does blocking work properly currently? I have blocked accounts, yet am still receiving notifications on phone/web. I've also reported (Bluesky moderation service) as Spam and received no feedback whatsoever (a few a day from same account). This is with official web/official app

The amount of tax ‘proposals’ being intentionally ‘leaked’ to gauge reaction is just crazy. It just feels as if reeves doesn’t have a clue. Surely there’s a better way. It just feels idiotic #uk #politics

COP30 TEXT ANALYSIS: One way to read dense COP text is to focus on the verbs. These are helpfully italicised – and for good reason.

MOSTLY INACTIVE: Carbon Brief analysis of the “global mutirão” text finds 69 inactive verbs, requiring no action, against 32 active verbs.

Anyone else using #Octopus EV tariff get issues with 'unable to control your device' when using #myenergi. So frustrating. device is fine. internet connection is perfect. I just don't get it.

Makes charging outside the fixed cheap-rate slot dodgy since charging can continue ....

I've been with #spotify for more years than I can remember. Keep re-evaluating due to cost, politics, artist payments. #tidal remains a good option but today amazon had a 4 month 'trial' of unlimited.

Signed up. Does it work? Nope. 'Something happened on our end. Please try again'.

Duh.

It is indisputable that Brexit has been an economic disaster, and notable that none of its political architects have paid any price.
