Never play with a woman who's not afraid of standing alone. She's built from strength, confidence, and self-worth-and when you try to test her, you'll lose every time.

If we are to deprive political violence of its power, we must reject anyone who commits or promotes it - and also reject any move to exploit it.

Is an army of DPS officers needed to remove 3 peaceful protesters & Senator Molly Cook for supporting Nicole Collier?

Nicole Collier represents Ft. Worth-district 33, of which 80% of voters are Black & Latino. Their votes will be diluted when Republicans carve them out of the current district.

I'm planning on medicating enough to enjoy dinner and a show with one of my loves and some friends. One step along the path to remember how to deal with this damned chronic thing.

Every book published in the United States is sent to the Library of Congress. Also, if you are under 16 you cannot use the reading room or order books.
Reporter: The president fired the Librarian of Congress. Why?

Leavitt: There were quite concerning things she had done at the Library of Congress in the pursuit of DEI and putting inappropriate books in the library for children.

This is a concession by the U.S. government that its “arrangement” with El Salvador is irrevocable. To me this has to be grounds to argue that the arrangement itself is unconstitutional under the Fifth and Eighth Amendments

🚨 Breaking news via @wired.com: The GAO is conducting an audit of DOGE activities at DOL and other agencies - one of the first real signs of possible accountability and oversight. The report should be made public this spring. www.wired.com/story/gao-au...

This is concerning. I know everything is concerning right now, but this should receive some attention. I'm still trying to figure out (outside of protesting and calling our elected reps) can be done to try to get this to NOT happen.

I gotta agree! I prefer the ugly truth over a pretty lie.
"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness" -- 20 hours into his speech, Cory Booker is spitting absolute 🔥

Thank you too @bennet.senate.gov and @hickenlooper.bsky.social for voting no on both the CR and Cloture.

It passed anyway, but I appreciate the attendance to the wishes of your constituents.
March 14, 2025 at 10:01 PM
I know I'm hitting this issue hard. But stay informed and let your senators know how you want them to vote.
When your senator says "I will be voting no on the CR" that means they think the cloture vote will pass. They are playing you. Get them on the record as committing to a no vote for cloture. Otherwise, you assume they are voting yes on it. A vote for cloture IS a vote for the CR. Don't get played.
March 14, 2025 at 4:03 PM
@schumer.senate.gov you say that like they're not already doing that. Only now you want to give up your power too.
If we enter a shutdown, Congressional Republicans would weaponize their majorities to cherry-pick which parts of government to reopen.
