Doug's Substack is a wonderful case study in how important lying by omission is to reactionary centrism's fascist project.

Here, Doug is in such a hurry to sanitize CK as just a 1A debate bro that he skips over Kirk's role in vetting Trump staffers and... *checks notes*... ferrying people to Jan 6

The co-owner of The Satanic Temple has an almost infinite number of “no fucks” to give for all kinds of political violence and victims (the enforced silence on TST re: police brutality and George Floyd’s lynching is well-known internally)

but a white bigot gets killed and he’s johnny on the spot

Just a reminder:

Seattle has until this Tuesday (Feb 11th) to turn in ballots that can both hit the wealthy where it hurts while also building the long term public-housing-for-all we've been waiting for.

Please vote Yes on 1A, please tell your Seattle friends- turnout is only 15% right now.
Seattle folk, can do something RIGHT NOW to channel your rage and fear and despair.

Ballots were sent in the mail today for Prop 1A:

A 5% tax on the compensation of millionaires, paid by their employer, to go straight to our Social Housing Developer.

Vote.

I wish the people who keep renting the same zipcar as me would stop leaving and spilling poppers in the car. 😤 The passenger seat is always laid flat too… we get it. You fuck in the zipcar. At least clean up after yourselves, nasty asses. 🤢

"Last night, we received word from Ángel (she/her) that she has not been able to access her testosterone for about a month. As a result of Trump’s executive order this week, police came to the prison and took about ~20 trans women away with zero warning, most likely to be sent to a men’s prison."

I was abandoned by my community who chose cowardice and lip service over praxis. At least I can say I never stopped fighting for myself.

Do you know the # 1 predictor of whether or not a domestic abuser is an active violent threat to his victim?

The victim’s intuition.

This year's rent stabilization bill has officially dropped. HB 1217 includes a 7% annual limit on rent increases after 1 year, matching the bill that passed the House last yr. It also includes a 6 month notice requirement for increases over 3%, & a cap on move-in fees.
