I am heartened to see the Eurovision fandom mostly all just immediately browsing for a new hyperfixation.

Media professionals know these are always calls that are made, what to report out or not.

When it comes to reporting out deadly misinformation about trans people, the NYT is super committed.

When it comes to reporting out the possibility that the president is a pedophile, they're unmotivated. 🤔

Well, no idea if I'm going to bother trying to re-engage with BlueSky* at this point, but figured I'd drop a reminder anyway.

Hi! I write fantasy. It's LGBTQIA+, often with trans/NB/fluid rep, + increasing disability & autism rep. Poly, kink, sex positive but not explicit. Some is urban, some isn't. No grimdark/horror. Free options for almost all.

Find it all via prysmcat.com but see below for a quick list.

The push to make Harry Potter popular again is indicative of JK Rowling needing money.

Not a single cent.

In amidst the usual exposure of IDF lies I did manage to find one truth.

"Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Saar earlier this week echoed the army account, saying "the IDF did not randomly attack an ambulance"."

He's right, it wasn't random.

Video footage appears to contradict Israeli account of Gaza medic killings
The footage was reportedly filmed by a Palestinian paramedic killed by Israeli forces along with 14 others in March.

Now the boiler has had enough, and the washing machine broke again.

I also managed to break my bed, and I wasn't even in it at the time.

Cursed year.
18 days into the new year and I've broken one (1) washing machine and one (1) computer.

Hopefully I run out of things I own before I bankrupt myself.

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.

You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1
