Oh really? That's so nice! I actually have a small set of sewing projects that I completed in my fashion class. They're not perfect by any means, because they're student assignments. I would SO love to donate them to a non-prof that gives clothes to small children who need them.
Even if you don't help build the houses, there are other ways to volunteer your time and talents to Habitat. For example, I've made quilts for Habitat so that every family member get a new quilt for their new home.

When it comes to disability aids, I think a lot of them are general quality of life improvements that many people could benefit from. With that being said, don't be afraid to use a disability aid. If it makes your life easier, take advantage of it.
