Trump: "I'm going to do the thing."

The media, markets, and politicians: "He's not really going to do the thing, it's just bluster."

**Trump does the thing**

Everyone: OH MY GOD, HE ACTUALLY DID THE THING!? WE DIDN'T THINK HE WAS SERIOUS!

Our beef is the most masculine beef. Very strong, heterosexual beef. Our beef pisses standing up while their effeminate beef pisses sitting down.
Lutnick: "European Union won't take chicken from America ... they hate our beef because our beef is beautiful and theirs is weak."

Sen. Booker’s speech was a substantive and moral account of this moment. He did not read the phone book. He did not babble.
For 24 hours @booker.senate.gov laid out a detailed, damning, and critical narrative of truth, history, politics, morality, humanity.

What will you do?

The historic protest comes to its end.

After a record 25 hours & 5 minutes, an emotional Cory Booker completes his marathon Senate speech by quoting the late Rep. John Lewis:

“Let’s get in good trouble. My friend, Madam President, I yield the floor.”

Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"

"I don't want a Disney vacation of our history! I don't a whitewashed history, I don't want a homogenized history. Tell me the wretched truth about America, because that speaks to our greatness" -- 20 hours into his speech, Cory Booker is spitting absolute 🔥

Cory Booker has now been speaking on the floor of the Senate for almost 14 HOURS.

An epic filibuster.

A protest against Trump’s violation & trampling of the Constitution.

Thousands tuned in online overnight. 16,000 are still watching.

Nice work @booker.senate.gov

A reminder for this Transgender Day of Visibility:

Trans people have always existed, and we always will.

No president, politician, or court can change that.

Retweeting information and liking memes dunking on Musk / Trump / Vance won’t get us out of an authoritarian state.

We need real action, and this is how.

Instead of stealing Greenland from Denmark, let’s steal some of their policies.

In Denmark:

- Health care and college are free.

- The starting wage is $22/hr.

- Paid parental leave is 1 year.

- Paid vacation is 6 weeks.

- All workers get pensions.
