I join you on this hill. I teach Calvin and Hobbes in my Baseball lit class (Calvinball as the anti-rules game). I also think it should be legal to bash in the windshields of any car with pirated Calvin-peeing-on-something stickers.
A hill on which I will die: Calvin and Hobbes is one of the great pieces of 20th-century American literature in no small part because it was never turned into anything aside from a comic strip. Leave it be.

Could I be any more fed up with botched efforts to “improve” the video quality of old TV shows?
The One Where Friends Rewrites NHL Logo History.

A first-season episode of the hit '90s sitcom "Friends" features an NHL logo that wouldn't be released for another two years. Naturally, we had to investigate (and solve) this mystery!

When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

Because of piled-up snow and ice surrounding the bus stop near my home, I had to stand in the street to catch a bus this week. Leaving the bus was a challenge too. Glad @neilsteinberg.bsky.social is shining a light on this hazard.
In snowy weather, CTA bus riders must become mountaineers
Despite the CTA, Streets and San, CDOT, and nearby businesses all being responsible for cleaning snow from Chicago bus stops, the snow still manages to pile up, creating hazards for commuters.

Sponsors and viewers can’t wait to avoid future town halls, as well!

Lack of Madison Avenue support could challenge the viability of the format, which Weiss wants to expand

Maybe "news" shows should administer a current events quiz to potential guests that the guests must pass before they appear. Results should be shared with viewers in any case.

It's amazing how many "newsmakers" and "leaders" claim to be completely unaware about what is going on ... anywhere.
