When you’re such a nerd that you dream of delivering a short talk about epistemology to a diverse group of primary school teachers gathered to think about maths. It was a great dream.

I’m not entirely sure where I stand on the Kāhui Ako phenomenon, but I do know that more radical change in education of this kind is likely to add to the overwhelm schools and teachers are currently grappling with.

Leaked documents say Kāhui Ako school programme 'set to be disestablished'
Leaked documents suggest the $118 million programme will be axed 'effective from Budget 2025'.

On Friday, my son stayed home from school because he had a sore throat and wasn’t feeling well. He went with my husband to his office for the morning while I handled our daughter. When he came back at lunch, he was not interested in eating, saying his throat hurt too much. 1/n

Say it after me: Chat GPT is not a search engine. It does not scan the web for information, it just generates statistically likely sentences. You cannot use it a search engine, or as a substitute for searching.

Now. Please never use an LLM for information searches ever again.
