Truly amazing and distressing how far down the road to authoritarianism we’ve come in a short time and how easily folks adapt to the new reality. Even those of us who oppose it.

Reading about this in history books is one thing; living it is quite another.

The reason I now believe ICE should be abolished is not that I don't think we need some kind of agency to deal with immigration and customs, but rather that this particular agency has so soiled its reputation and is operating so far out of bounds in a democracy that the only solution is to end it.

The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles — not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle.

Don't give them one.

Never use violence. Speak out peacefully.

In considering our President's so-called Memorial Day message, I am really filled with sadness. Anger too but where does anger get us? I am broken hearted over what is happening to us as a country.

Let us try to ignore him the best we can. Let us remember that this day is about the fallen.

Re: the Milwaukee judge.
Let’s say that the judge did commit a crime. In a normal time, such an allegation would be a matter to be handled with the utmost care, to ensure that a judge is not given special treatment because they are a judge, but also to make certain that if a judge is to be arrested

Houston, here’s the reason you lost the game. Sorry about that.
U.S. Senator Ted Cruz has made an appearance at the Final Four championship game, despite fans claiming that when the Texas senator attends the game for the team he is rooting for, they are "cursed" and lose the game.

The top 7 donors in the 2024 election — all GOP — gave a combined $1B to buy Trump a second term.

It's a gigantic amount of money in total — but it's just pocket change to them.

We must get Big Money out of politics.

No one from either party should be able to buy an election.
