Same goes for elder care (even if the elder in question can’t express gratitude for it - they may have a hard time seeing past the loss of health and independence)
If you're the parent of a disabled kid, I just want to tell you I know it's hard and I know you feel like you're failing constantly, but you're doing it and you're doing the best you can and your kid absolutely loves you for it.

I've seen posts expressing frustration that Department of Education/disability stuff firings isn't in the news. Some places have covered it, but I encourage people to recognize that journalists are humans who can't do everything on the weekend when we need to rest.

This is a really important corrective to a lot of reporting today. Trump did not—and cannot—federalize MPD. The police force remains under the ultimate control of the mayor.
