Not 6 months ago, hordes of Israelis went around predominantly Muslim areas of Amsterdam chanting 'Death to Arabs', not 'Death to Hamas', not 'Death to Hezbollah', not 'Death to the Iranian Guard', and yet we were expected to to treat *them* as the victims. Cry more.

Streeting called Bob Vylan and Kneecap ‘revolting’, Kemi Badenoch said they’re ‘grotesque’. I’ve never heard either of them use anything like such strong condemnatory language to describe the slaughtering and starvation of thousands of innocent civilians in Gaza.

Text reading ‘What matters, and should be uncontroversial considering the evidence in front of us, is that much of what Labour has done with its huge majority and yet low popularity has served to normalise reactionary politics and discourse, pitting communities against each other, targeting those already marginalised and emboldening far-right actors. In doing so, it has not only hurt the many communities at the sharp end of their reactionary politics, but made them more acceptable to build on for whoever gets to Number 10 next. Crucially, this has only served those already in privileged positions and the wealthy in particular. By mimicking the far right, Labour and Starmer haven't stolen their thunder, they have made these politics legitimate and reactionary policies ever more entrenched. In fact, it has only made Reform stronger in the polls and helped it gain more attention and legitimacy.’

Pritzker: It’s time for us to be done with optimism about their motives. Time to stop wondering if you can trust the nuclear codes to people who don’t know how to organize a group chat. It’s time to stop ignoring the hypocrisy in wearing a big gold cross while announcing the defunding of children’s cancer research… Autistic kids and adults who are loving contributors to our society don’t deserve to be stigmatized by a weird nepo baby who once stashed a dead bear in his car. Our military service members don’t deserve to be told by a washed-up Fox TV commentator, who drank too much before being appointed Secretary of Defense, that they can’t serve their country simply because they are Black, gay, or a woman.
