Even more is that Donald Trump was, the first time, impeached for quid pro quo requirements for congressionally appropriate support for Ukraine. This was not secret, he is requiring that Ukraine deal with him to keep what was already promised.

But remember, he said he wouldn’t touch your social security.
The Social Security Administration is cutting 7,000 jobs and closing half of its regional offices. It's no coincidence that Elon Musk called Social Security a "ponzi scheme." They're gutting the program YOU'VE PAID INTO to make room for more billionaire tax cuts.

Now is the time to speak up.

Harassment and terrorizing federal employees is the whole plan.
This morning, HUD instituted a policy of searching bags and putting everyone through a metal detector. By 8 a.m., employees had already been waiting in line for an hour, a HUD source says.

Agree with Mr. Stancil, also want to point out that the core of American liberties is political protest. The Boston Tea Party was illegal.
At some point the opposition needs to say what is happening here: Donald Trump is a tyrant in the full sense of the term, an American fascist dictator who believes the law flows directly from his command. And he is also a deeply unwell, unfit, and criminal man with nonsensical whims

@fahrenthold.bsky.social has helped author a truly well done article and also voiced these same concerns on The Daily this morning. If you’re not familiar, The Daily is a podcast from the NYTimes that I believe everyone should be listening to.
Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency has deleted hundreds more claims from its mistake-plagued “wall of receipts,” erasing $4 billion in additional savings that the group said it had made for U.S. taxpayers.

Agree. He has an audience as well. His countrymen don’t want to see their President groveling before a Putin lackey. Their determination is grounded in their national pride. Zelensky powerfully vindicated that today. To see your President stand up to the two greatest powers in the world? Priceless.

I will never forget the photo of Zelenskyy’s face after he saw Russia’s war crimes in Bucha in 2022. He seemed to age years in an afternoon. Watching him constantly cross the world asking for aid that should have been thrown at him is one of the deepest shames of our age.
