Self-promotion is the hardest thing for me. So, if you're a parent/educator and have the time, do me this small favor: check out the website in my profile, and tell me something you *wish* it had.

For lovers of speculative fiction, don't worry, I'm putting together the first short stories.
Self-promotion is hard, which is why I am extra proud that I showed the first chapter of Zeno the Moonman to a rando I just met at a game store while playing Flesh and Blood (hi @fabtcg.com !), and he begged me to let him know when it's released.

Looking for a bilingual editor now. Send good vibes!

I encourage everyone to engage with the future with all the hope in their heart, especially today.

Reality may be hard right now, but it's a solid place to build from. Stay strong. Make the future a wonderful place for everyone to live in.

That is all.

Had a terrible headache and …

instead of “pushing through it” …

left the office and did some “by the river sitting” w canines.

10/10 recommend.

I used to work in the field of assisted living. The system was already messed up a decade ago.

You get an allowance, hardly enough to survive with the bare minimum, and if you dare to earn "too much" your benefits get cut severely. It was oppressive.

I worry for my former clients now. 😢
Dickhead Don now wants to cut SSI benefits by a third for those with disabilities who receive in-kind support like housing and food from relatives. The CBPP estimates that nearly 400,000 SSI beneficiaries living with family or friends would have their benefits cut. The needless cruelty never stops.
Trump proposal could strip SSI benefits from 400k Americans
Supplemental Security Income benefits can be reduced by up to one-third if recipients receive "in-kind support and maintenance."

If this venture ever gets successful enough that I can hire staff, I really want to set up some kind of profit-sharing system, and I don't want to make more than 100x what the lowest paid employee makes as a base wage.

I find it baffling that CEOs don't want their customers to have money.

Universal basic income is UNIVERSAL. That's a key detail. You can do a pilot that provides unconditional cash to a thousand people, but unless they all live in the same small town of 1,000 people, it's not truly testing UBI. That's where we see the big impacts, like boosted local GDP and less crime.
