Thanks for the reply. It's a shame publishers can't do a deal like Dvds did for a while - buy a physical copy and get a link for a free digital download. I had a signed copy of Villager from you a while back and it took me about 6 mths to read cos I could only manage about 3 pages a day 😂

I always find New Year massively depressing as I ponder whether the year to come will be the one on my headstone. Not that I intend to have a headstone, more like a cheapo quickie cremation with my remains being thrown shortly afterwards like yesterdays cat litter.

It's a tricky one as like you I am very disappointed in this government in so many ways, but my local labour MP has done a cracking job under very difficult circumstances and I would probably be tempted to vote for her again.
