I just got back from 36 hours in Ukraine with my brother Scott. Wanted to share a story from while we were there. At a hospital, we talked with a wounded Ukrainian soldier.

I remember a time when Louis Pasteur was viewed as a hero. When "embalmed beef" was bad. When Jonas Salk's polio vaccine was hailed as a modern miracle. "Why have we lost faith in public health?" IDK, lady in the hot dog costume named EMILY OSTER.
Oster writes that “With more information, we provide room for people to drink raw milk but also vaccinate their kids. Which is, basically, a reasonable choice.” Oster claims she is being far more nuanced, but I don’t think there’s enough nuance here. Raw milk is not “reasonable” for many people.

As a US citizen to my Ukrainian friends...I'm so sorry. I would always choose to stand with you. I wish more of my fellow US citizens saw this so clearly, but it appears they would rather stand with Trump.
