It's just been suggesting, on the BBC, that we might need to get used to these new high temperatures. Unfortunately, it's not THIS heat we need to get used to because, according to the science, it's going to get a lot worse.

A really interesting thought! In biological systems, you can have two neural circuits competing in terms of their respective excitement until one overrides the other. It's not clear that this could work in digital systems like LLMs the way they are currently constructed.
If you want to create human-like intelligence, you should be trying to build a machine that can procrastinate. (That's not just flippancy.)
