Sent my email. Do yours if you want. Pulling your money from a corporation seems to solicit more results than calling a representative. Plus, it just feels good to stop paying fuck face bozos to the best of your ability.
If you’re a Visa cardholder you can let them know you won’t be any longer if they do business with fElon. I called and they said they’re taking comments at askvisa@visa.com. Maybe if enough of us complain they’ll pull the deal.

Wow this page rules! The style looks like some kind of bootleg Johnny Craig. I'm in love with all th awkwardness flourishes.

I'm at Angoulême and when french people find out the comics I sell are American, they say 'oh, is this comic about le hot dog? Is it about the bang bang pew pew guns? Is it about le toxic male cowboy?'

These are secretly all their favorite things so I'm making lots of $$$

i am still sort of piecing through what i need to replace after getting mugged, but one of the more frustrating things is that i had finally tracked down a copy of this book. if anyone has a line on a reasonably priced copy (not the $1000 a dork on abebooks is asking for), can you please let me know

Cool project getting started over here! I'll be using the tags and pinning the feed.
Finally created a feed for alternative comics so creators/critics/scholars/readers (anybody, basically) can have their posts show in this feed by putting the keywords or hashtags I configured for it (such as #altcomics, more info in feed's description)

WIP

I love the way the 3rd panel looks in this state and I think a similar composition might make a nice painting.

Really really beautiful lines on this. The shapes in the legs and feet are particularly impressive. A perfect example of the beautiful simplicity DC cranked out in the 60s. There's a real calmness to this type of drawing that I strive for myself.

Beautifully traditional cartooning with a nasty edge to it on the biker's face. Kind of looks like Gilbert Shelton drawing Underdog or something. Reminds me a lot of Abraham Diaz work, tho the shapes and tone are a bit different.
Got a very inspiring pig-proof German comic zine from my friend's aunt's husband's collection liquidation. Anyone seen this before?

Absolutely going to be submitting to this! Are you?

We made a classic fundraiser thermometer for the bakesale too! The ideas and jokes were workshopped as a team and I did all the production work. We wound up hitting about $1700 of our $2500 goal. I love twin cities skateboarding, it's one of the most organized and supportive scenes I've been in.

This just reminded me that I have a dvd of all the superman shorts and maybe I should start my day with a few this weekend. I love the craftsman ship they brought to a "low brow" art form. Undeniably beautiful works of art!

Signs I painted last week for a fundraiser bakesale the skate crew held to help us expand our DIY skatepark. The way we promoted this event was very convoluted and confusing but basically we promised there would be no stunts and Duggie threatened to stunt. These signs were up around the space.
