Extremely uncommonly, and real people who haven’t bothered to fill out a basic profile setup should take notice that you look like bots and are gonna be getting blocked and muted because of it.
Genuine question, asked out of ignorance: do any real people who use this site have a generic asterisk or similar as a profile pic? Can I identify bot followers based on profile pic alone?
Has anyone else been getting a ton of blatantly fake bot followers/DMs here every single day for months?

People ask me "why kelp is important". There's not enough space for all the reasons here but big reasons are that kelp can grow faster than any other any species fixing CO2, providing shelter and food. Urchins eat kelp plus they're "messy" eaters so they feed other species nearby.
