For example, at the LoC, the Leonard Bernstein digital collection has 4,000 items. The physical collection has over 400,000. That is not a typo.
When we say "no, everything hasn't been digitized," I need you to understand that we really mean is that virtually nothing has been digitized. This is because the realm of primary sources that historians use is incomprehensibly large.
Seems like it's worth posting this one again.

the two main priorities of a scholarly society are the conference and the journal, and if funding other programs beyond those has eclipsed those core functions...it has ceased to be a scholarly society and is now just a regular nonprofit
