I was miserable at boarding school, but I acknowledge I got a good education. I’ve never understood why public education should not match private. This country is still stuck in the snobbism of the Victorian era

If you’re lucky, life can make you empathetic and kind. I love it that old people talk to each other on the bus, complete strangers. You nod and smile in recognition, we’ve made it this far, and then you have a moan about your knees or back or the NHS #gettingolder

Moving back to your childhood place is strange. Returned to Kernow where the proud Cornish still exist. They can smell you out ‘you bin away then?’ ‘Um yes, but..’ said earnestly ‘my name is Penhaligon’ much nodding of head 😀
