It's been so hard to be active on here. Between Everwild's cancellation, Perfect Dark's cancellation, Gregg Mayles's departure, Sea of Thieves's uninspiring season 17, and the general state of Playtonic, it feels akin to 2010 all over again. The Rarenaisance feels over, and I've been very sad.

Just tried the new COD campaign, and I quit midway through the first level. What a boring, uninspired start. Such a bummer because I enjoyed BLOPS6. This feels like BLOPS3, which is the last one I gave up on this quickly. Oh well.

What a fantastic remake - it looks, plays, and sounds infinitely better than the original. The additions were welcome and the changes were thoughtful and made the experience more enjoyable. I loved the experience start to finish.

Galleon Galaxy remains one of my favorite levels, based mostly on vibes. The color palette and music make it a joy to explore. And the galleon transformation is my favorite in the game. I struggled hard with the Kartos challenge, but got there eventually. Fun all around!

Capital Cashino is great! It felt like a trip to a real entertainment center with lots of side games for challenges. And then they let you change into an attack helicopter for some weird reason. And the fan art gallery is spectacular. Fantastic all around!

Man I love the atmosphere of this level. And the Icymetric Palace is truly the Ultimate throwback. I feel the snowplow is still underutilized, but I enjoyed the little red coin race they added. Also I still love the little glow cavern!

Played through the Yooka-Replaylee demo for a second time this morning. It sucks that this whole launch is tainted, because this game truly looks and feels wonderful. The irony of corporate bullshit ruining a game about the evil of corporate bullshit.
