Historian of game studio Rare Ltd. Formerly of everything. Once appeared in an E3 trailer for a cool pirate game. Overly fanatical about Rare and Rare-adjacent studios Bylines at @rareandfriends.bsky.social, @rare-gamer.bsky.social, and @windowscentral.com
Had a RadioShack Tandy 1000 SL/2. That badboy had a 4.77 mHz CPU and a mind-bogglingly huge 20 MB hard drive in addition to 3.5" and 5 1/4" floppy drives. It could display 16 colors and had a built-in speaker. Didn't have games, but we had a disk with this Christmas video demo that blew my damn mind
