The thing they don’t tell you about adulthood is that at some point you’re really going to need 6 months of 0 worries or responsibilities just to try to resolve the things you’ve learned about life and yourself. The problem is you’ll never have the time or money.
I need a week long vacation in the downtown of a major city where my only responsibilities are to walk around and eat and drink whatever I want.

not one person from my side of the family is attending any grad event for my kid. they can’t be bothered to make an effort. my dead mom and aunt would be livid. I’m trying not to let my family’s failure become my responsibility or shame.

so I’ve started to be more focused on self care. Today I did a little too much. Well woman exam including iud removal, followed by a little emdr for childhood trauma, and finished with 2.5 hours at the dentist for a crown. 🙃

Went on a college visit this weekend, arrived late & the car we rented wasn’t available. We ended up in a Tesla. Hated it. Loud as hell. Turning radius of a dump truck. So poorly sealed it fogged over constantly. Cheap materials. Terrible touch screen controls. Not at all intuitive.
