My mom had foot surgery last week and she’s been around a lot, taking up my usual space on the couch or in the bed. But I like lying next to her and purring when she isn’t feeling well and the medication makes her very sleepy. She is warm and pets me a lot more than usual. She makes a good shelf.

My essay On the Other Side of the Lake, which is about the political divide across Lake Champlain, is in here!

Thinking back fondly to a few weeks ago when I got to perform in Krewe Boheme with this lovely group of dancers. Mardi Gras and New Orleans FTW.

This is so painfully accurate. Wes Anderson characters who haven’t realized they’re in a Tarantino film.

“Live to see them die” is a slogan I can get behind.
Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last.

Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall.

They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.

Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.

I think about it a lot in moments like this.

Tomorrow I am calling all my elected officials about these abuses of power. Let your representatives know where you stand.
Let's be clear: the Medicaid portal went offline because of Donald Trump's orders.

The only reason it is back on is due to outrage from the American people.

Now, they are trying to lie about it.

Medicaid was never taken away from Americans under President Biden.

Amazing how many marketing folks are ok with business as usual or keeping “politics out of sales.” I am not one of them.

I’m in love with this movie, and it definitely proves beyond a reasonable doubt that animals are much better than people.

Made the decision to leave Meta today for our business accounts. They’re pay to play for the most part and I’m tired of being held hostage by them. Anyone else ?

Confession: never really loved Neil Gaiman’s work, so it’s not much of a literary loss for me. I feel for the many women he victimized.

Re. United Healthcare CEO’s murder - I worked as a a Director of Quality Improvement for a nonprofit. Most of my colleagues went on to work for big insurance companies. I couldn’t live with myself if my job involved denying people’s claims. How did we get here? It’s time for universal healthcare.
