Well quite... Section 28 was the law, unions campaigned against it... The law condoned (if it didn't actually promote) sacking civil servants for being gay, unions campaigned against it... The government made union membership illegal for GCHQ staff, unions campaigned against it...

Turns out unions can disagree with the Supreme Court without legal advice being used to prevent discussion. Funny that!

This is shocking and bigoted. Yet, you could imagine the current Tory party, and certainly Reform issuing the same sort of orders. We have to be on our guard that Labour doesn't tilt even further right on Trans and non-binary rights. Seeking to triangulate its position with those of Reform.
