probably the most baffling thing I've seen said online by people who hate beast crest is that when you unlock it they force you to do platforming with the worst pogo in the game just to get back to a bench and switch crest

But you can't go to Wisp Thicket early??? There's just a barrier there I guess. Why is that where the game draws the line?

You can fight Chef Lugoli early so that's neat.

There's something funky happening with the beast crest charge attack that gives you enough elevation to sequence break into areas normally gated by the double jump.
